On Friday, February 6, the Lady Mustangs basketball team faced a challenging opponent in Tyler All Saints. Sophomore
Elizabeth Thompson led the team in scoring with 13 points. Approaching the second quarter of the game, the score was close, and both teams were pushing to close the gap. The All Saints kept the lead for most of the game. With a loss for the Mustangs, the game came to an end with the score coming in at 27-52. Sophomore
Lyric Scott, went on to say, "Unfortunately, we fell short, but I am excited to improve and make the playoffs next season." When freshman,
Carrington Lansford, was asked about her thoughts on their performance, she stated, "Even though we came up short in the end, we will use this momentum to bounce back and work harder for the upcoming game." Their next game is on Monday, February 9, against Shelton.
