On Tuesday, January 6, the McKinney Christian boys' varsity basketball team faced Dallas Christian in its first district game. Before the game, senior
Jaydan Vicknair said, "It's a must-win to start the district season with a statement." MCA finished on top in crushing fashion with a final score of 85-45. Junior,
Diego Landin, led the team in points. After the game, junior Leo Jimenez talked about the win, saying, "We came out and handled business like we knew we would do, we had a good week of practice leading up to this, and all we can do is get ready for our next game."

The JV team also had a dominant performance against Dallas Christian, winning 69-44. Junior,
Jude Bleecker, played a key role in the win and spoke after the game, saying, "We went out there, played with heart, and showed that our hard work is paying off. We're just trying to keep building, getting better every day, and doing our part to help MCA shine."
