On Thursday, April 3, the McKinney Christian Academy varsity softball team faced off against Prince of Peace, resulting in a defeat for the Mustangs with a score of 2-16. Despite the loss, the Lady Mustangs demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and played to the best of their abilities throughout the game. Freshman Harper Johnson pitched all five innings, achieving numerous strikeouts with her fastballs, change ups, and drop balls. Freshman Landrie Joseph and Elizabeth Thompson were responsible for scoring the team's runs.
When asked about the game, Johnson stated, "Although the outcome wasn't what we wanted, we had a lot of fun, stayed positive, and definitely improved. I know in my heart that we will use all of our skills and strengths as a team to achieve victory against our next opponents."
Their next game is scheduled for Monday, April 7, against Newman International at home.
