On April 15, the MCA Varsity softball team played Dallas Christian. The game's final score was 0-22, resulting in a win for Dallas Christian. The start of the game looked suitable for the Lady Mustangs until freshman Harper Johnson was injured while on the mound. Freshman Elizabeth Thompson then stepped up to finish out the game pitching. Thompson spoke on the game and said, "Even though we were down the whole game, we still held our heads high and finished the game with great attitudes and excellent teamwork. Although our circumstances of having to change our pitcher mid-game, we still worked to our fullest potential to finish the game strong. Our team has achieved many goals this season, such as working well together, communicating well, and having fun. I enjoyed getting to know and play with my teammates and am excited for the next season."
