On Thursday, September 5, the McKinney Christian varsity and JV teams played Fort Worth Lake Country. JV won against Lake Country in the third set with a score of 15-12. The varsity team fought in a close match against Lake Country. The game started off fast with lots of energy, but the Lady Mustangs fell short of loosing in the fifth set 12-15. Junior Sadie Blake had 15 kills, senior Kadence Ackmann with 18 kills and 21 digs, senior Mia Gunn with 21 digs and 3 aces and sophomore Tristyn Vineyard had 14 digs against Lake Country. Senior Brooklyn Claudio talked about the game saying " Last night I learned that communication and energy is key. I also learned that we need to work hard at practice to come back for the next game."

The Mustangs next game is Tuesday, September 10, against Paris High School.
