This is Decklyn’s first year as the Head Varsity Cheer coach for MCA and she couldn't be more excited to enhance our school spirit. She has been coaching for 5 years at a competitive cheer gym, All 4 Prosper. With her time there, she has become the Senior Director of Operations. Her favorite part of her job is watching kids grow within themselves, not only with cheer skills but personal and team skills as well.
Throughout her childhood she was a competitive gymnast and transitioned to cheer in middle school. In high school, she was a sideline and competitive cheerleader which granted her the opportunity to become a collegiate cheerleader at Texas Tech University from 2016-2019.
Her goal as the McKinney Christian Academy Head Cheer coach is to provide a fun and safe environment for this squad to connect and learn the importance of communication while teaching leadership and work ethic through establishing expectations and responsibilities for our team.
