McKinney Christian Academy

Coach Jones was a three-sport athlete at Decatur High School, where he graduated in 2004. He played baseball for four years at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and graduated in 2008 with a BBS Social Studies Composite degree. After college, Coach Jones got the opportunity to go back home and work with his dad as a teacher/coach in Decatur for six years. He helped lead several district titles and deep playoff runs while coaching baseball and football in Decatur. 

He was on the inaugural staff at Frisco Independence High School in 2014 and helped start the baseball program there. In 2018, Coach Jones served as head coach at Nocona High School, where he led the baseball team to its first double-digit win season in over a decade. The following season, he was an assistant on the Lovejoy baseball staff that reached the Regional Semi-Finals. Most recently, Coach Jones was the head baseball coach at PCA North, where he started the program in 2023. His teams at Prestonwood North earned TAPPS playoff berths in 3 of 4 seasons.  

Coach Jones has helped many young men on their journey to become college baseball players and looks forward to doing the same for our MCA. More importantly, Coach Jones plans to use baseball at McKinney Christian as a platform to influence young men for the good of God’s kingdom. 

He and his wife, Katie, have been married for 12 years and have three children: Walker (8), Ethan (6), and Josey Lynn (1). Off the diamond, Coach Jones enjoys farm and ag fun with his family as well as hunting, fishing, and house remodel projects. The Joneses are active members of their church, where Casey serves as a deacon, helps with Awanas, and teaches a young marrieds Sunday School class. 

Coach Jones is excited to be the next Head Baseball Coach at McKinney Christian Academy and continue the success of such a well-established program.
