Coach Skip Lane is entering his fourth year at McKinney Christian Academy as the Head Track Coach, following over three decades of coaching excellence. Prior to MCA, Coach Lane served at Canyon Creek Christian Academy for 21 years and Legacy Christian Academy for 10 years, where he built a legacy of success and impact.

Throughout his career, he has been named Coach of the Year three times between Canyon Creek and Legacy Christian and has led teams to an impressive 11 state titles. Before leading the track program, he also served as a strength and conditioning coach, helping student-athletes reach their full potential across multiple sports.

Coach Lane approaches athletics as a mission field, rooted in his faith and guided by a simple but powerful principle:
“Always stay with God’s Word and see what it says about everything.”
He believes in meeting athletes where they are—spiritually, emotionally, and physically—and walking alongside them as they grow in both sport and life.

With a passion for developing not just champions, but Christ-centered leaders, Coach Lane continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of student-athletes.
