Background: Originally hailing from Northern Kentucky, Coach Justin Wagner brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the MCA athletic program. With a strong foundation in both baseball and football, Coach Wagner has been an integral part of the MCA coaching staff for the past four seasons, contributing to the development and success of our student-athletes. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Coach Wagner served his country with honor and distinction. During his time in the USAF, he continued to pursue his passion for baseball, playing for the Hickam AFB Baseball team. His military background instilled in him the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance, which he now imparts to his players.
Coaching Philosophy: Coach Wagner believes in fostering a positive and supportive environment where athletes can thrive both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship, with a foundational focus on glorifying God in all endeavors. He encourages his players to honor God through their actions, both in competition and in their daily lives. He is committed to helping each player reach their full potential, not only as athletes but as individuals. Throughout his tenure at MCA, Coach Wagner has been instrumental in the growth and development of the Varsity Baseball and Middle School Football programs. His expertise, leadership, and passion for the game have made a lasting impact on the teams and the broader MCA community.
Personal Note: Coach Wagner is dedicated to the success and well-being of his players. He takes great pride in seeing them grow, learn, and achieve their goals. He is married to his wonderful wife, Robyn, and they have a daughter, Katherine, who attends MCA. Together, they thoroughly enjoy attending Katherine's MCA sporting events. Outside of coaching, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and continuing to support the sports he loves.
