The Mustangs delivered a statement win in district play Tuesday night, defeating Gorman. From the opening tip, the Mustangs set the tone. Behind strong defensive pressure and efficient offense, they dominated the first quarter, building an impressive 18-point lead. Junior
Diego Landin led the offensive charge, finishing the night with a game-high 24 points. Gorman, however, refused to back down. In the third quarter, they battled back and went on a 10–0 run. At the end of the third quarter, the Mustangs regrouped. Refocusing on defensive intensity and ball movement, they responded with a run of their own. The surge stretched the lead back to 20 points, putting the game out of reach and sealing the district victory. With the win, the Mustangs secured the district championship title. They will host Lake Country on Tuesday at 7:00 PM for the Area playoffs.
