On Friday, January 5, the McKinney Christian Academy Upper School girls basketball team faced off against Waco Vanguard in their district home opener. The Lady Mustangs ended up falling to the Lady Vikings with a final score of 55-24. Senior Emily Barnhill led the team in scoring with 12 points and junior Hannah Massingale finished with six points and six rebounds, Massingale had to say this about the game. "We simply need to keep our heads up and enjoy ourselves while doing what we are doing,win or lose. We truly did fight hard and still worked well. We still have a great season ahead of us if we continue to play hard."

The Lady Mustangs next district game will be on Tuesday, January 9, at Dallas Covenant.
